Standard Compliance
This web site complies with the following guidelines to the best of our abilities: W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and U.S. Federal Section 508. Furthermore, this web site was developed to meet the requirements of standard HTML coding and thus validates as XHTML 1.0 Transitional. This validation ensures that the coding used to develop this site follows standard industry practices as well as ensuring proper accessibility to viewers
Design
This site utilizes cascading style sheets (CSS) to keep consistency and for visual appearance. The content of this site is available even without the use of CSS. Furthermore, the contents of this site are written in a standardized and universal font, which should be available and/or readible on all systems.
Images
All images are properly identified by using the ALT attributes and are purely for visual appearance. The context of the BODY will make sense without these images.
Links
All active links in the BODY are underlined and considered to be properly identified both in a normal browser and are descriptive to ensure that links make sense when out of context such as that when using an accesibility aid or program.
Navigation
This site has a navigation bar on the left side of the page linked to all major pages. Furthermore, at the bottom of each page below the copyright there are further links to direct viewers to important aspects of the site.
Technologies
This site utilizes certain web technologies that may hinder accessibility for certain systems. Therefore, we have provided links below to the web technologies for download: Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash Player. The Adobe Reader software is used to open and read all PDF files linked on this site. Adobe Flash Player is used to display Flash and certain animated, graphical images; you do not need to download this software to view the Flash or animated, graphical images, it is only for visual appearance. All important information will be displayed via PDF and/or text on the site.
